We have to have more Lisbeth! Her character would make a great comic book heroine/graphic novel spinoff, I think.

Dragon Tattoo was absolutely awesome with Michael and Noomi. However, I was sorely disappointed to learn that 30 minutes had been cut from the original film for us Americans. Will the entire film be released in a form that can be watched on US DVDs?

- Debbie, 9 August 2010

The longer version is probably the TV mini-serie shown in some countries. A tip if you like Swedish film, see the movie "as in heaven". Amazon have it.

- Marieanne, 11 August 2010

"as in heaven" is available on Netflix online streaming too....GREAT MOVIE!!

Just saw the 'Played with Fire' film here in a small 'art' theater in Chapel Hill, NC. Subtitles - not dubbed)

Great stuff (as was the first film). Some minor 'discrepancies' from the book but VERY well adapted. (I shudder to consider the Hollywood versions. )

Hope the 'Hornet's Nest' will be out here soon.

(The DVD of 'Tattoo' was dubbed into English quite well. As expected, the dubbing was a bit more complete and nuanced than the subtitles were. I'll watch the 'Fire' DVD when it comes out with dubbing - just for comparison's sake.)

Since I am not sure where to add this comment, I'll put it here. I really wish Showtime or HBO were making this a series rather than the books being made into movies. Call me greedy, but I would love to have several seasons of Lisbeth Salander rather than a couple of movies. Guess I don't want the ride to end. Maybe Eva can make a deal w/Showtime or HBO to do the remaining six stories!

Michael and Noomi protrayed the brillant characters of Steig Laarsen beyond measure! An amazing job by the casting crew and all involved. I care NOT to see an American version.

I have only recently started reading the books (after a cousin reccommended them to me) all 3 are phenomenal. Lisbeth is one of the most interesting main characters I have ever come across. The trailer looks excellent, I hope the movie will be somewhat close to the excellance of the book.
