The trilogy

Millennium trilogy

Stieg Larsson had always been interested in detective novels, and he was very familiar the works of Elizabeth George and Minette Walters. He knew what ingredients a good detective story should have, and he even reluctantly decided to spice it up with a bit of sex as it would probably please his readers.

I have just this minute finished the last book of The millennium trilogy. I would put Stieg Larsson at the top of my list as my favorite author. I was totally shocked half way through the Hornets Nest, to be told that Stieg was dead. ( I don't like to read the back of the sleeve) ...then I read this dribble that he apparently did not write the book ( The Australian Newspaper-Jan 27 ) as he was incapable.......is this a conspiracy? I found the 3 books impossible to put down and the plot twists facinating. Apparently there were 7 more books he was planning to follow up with. I am at a loss a what to read next!

The first book was great, the second was greater und the third was undescribable. Afterwards I was in a black hole. I can't nearly believe that the story doesn't go on. I love all figures. I'm very sad with the death of Stieg Larsson. Such a loss.

My reading in the last week..Herman Hesse's, Goldmund and Narcissus I will keep it close to me forever, a life partner. The trilogy, a thrilling, scintillating, exotic, intoxicating and inspiring one night stand. I'll hold that secret smile for a long time to come. Blessed too to get to read them all in such a short time, I advise! Thank you Kris Kindle.

I understand that Lisbeth was loosly based on Stieg's niece and Kalle was based on himself.

I have just finished reading Stieg Larssons' trilogy Millenium - in Portuguese tanslated from the French edition. I have mixed feelings now: on one hand I am sad because I know it is all over. On the other hand I am greatful because I have read it. Reading Larsson is almost hypnotic. He stimulates our curiosity and our "passion" for the main characters. But I believe it goes beyond simple "entertainment". I do not think I will be able to read a newspaper the same way I did before.

The books are not so popular in Russia these days as the first one is just been translated, but the ones who read the 3 ones are waiting for the movies and for the 4th book as well (even if without the main part) - at least the writer managed to create the characters and we can switch on our imagination

I am just finishing the 3rd book and I can't believe that this gifted author is dead. My heart breaks when I think of Eva who undoubtedly was Larsson's Berger. What a terrible loss with his passing.

I was so sorry to read about Steigs death, I only got the Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest yesterday and I am so enjoying it, but with a tinge of sadness at the waste of such a wonderful talent.
